  • Black haired boy, Black base dragon
  • Has fire breath/some fire magic
  • Can maintain a human form for extended periods of time, but it does wear him down. Turns back to a dragon form to rest.

Personality

Castor is a bit of a brat. Aggressive, putoffish, and resentful towards humans. While he attends school (mostly for his brother's sake); he generally spends his time being a troublemaker, and its not uncommon for him to be suspended or punished for his behaviors. He thinks that going to school or studying humans is asinine- and would much rather flee to the forests or mountains and hide away forever away from the "Barbarians" who he believes to have killed his parents. While his brother doesn't share his sentiment, Caecius' determination to prove the opposite ends up forcing Castor to follow him regardless.

The two bicker quite frequently, though Castor seems to be the root cause- Caecius is the far more dominant of the two and Castor rarely knows how to stand up to his brother's skills in debate. While Castor isn't stupid- he's hotheaded and frequently ends up getting flustered or talking himself in circles.

In reality, despite the show he puts on- he's incredibly lonely, which is why he sticks so closely to his brother. He wants friends, to have family, to have others like him. But he can't allow himself to befriend humans for fear that they'll take his brother from him too. Instead, he comes across as a bully and problematic student to most at the school that they attend- and frankly, he couldn't care less.

Trivia

  • The two are descended from ancient guardians of one of the Pinnacle's external shrines. As such, they have a deep connection to the north of Isethef, and cannot go too far from their place of birth (hatching) without becoming disjointed from their magic, causing them to turn forcibly into their true forms and lose all ability to manipulate magic. After the collapse, the tie to the now-ruined shrine is the only thing still giving them this power.
History

Born alongside his twin brother, Castor, the two never knew their parents. Ancient dragons who passed away long ago, their eggs were hidden away and didn't hatch until the 'modern' era. Where they had the fun time of learning how to be human...and hide their dragon personas from an era that had gone many centuries without their presence- whether it be due to hiding, or their extinction. The two at first struggled to adapt and survive, until their magic became strong enough to take on human guises and walk among mankind unnoticed. While magic users are rare in this era of the world- they aren't unheard of. While Castor holds some resentment towards humankind for making them into outcasts who need to hide their form- Caecius is more forgiving and curious of humankind, finding them quaint and interesting.

Castor is currently attending a 'normal' human highschool with his brother. He's generally regarded a problematic student who frequently gets in trouble and has more of a reputation as a rebel. While he does just enough to pass- he's certainly not enjoying his time there and does everything possible to get away from the humans he's come so much to loathe.
