Francis is a male dog with white and dark brown fur and olive eyes. He has a dark brown "mask" that covers most of his face, and two large brown spots on his back, one over his back and one over his rump and tail. He has several smaller spots around the larger ones and on his neck and paws. He has floppy ears and long thin tail. He wears a bright orange collar.
