One of Dali's two childhood best friends, alongside Vincent. Despite enjoying a close bond lasting several years, the three fell out of contact once when they reached their teenage years. Whereas Vincent remained in Sunnyside and got married, Lightning vanished not long after finishing school.

As an adult, he is soon identified as being the perpetrator of a series of computer hackings, to Dali's disbelief and sadness. He manages to escape justice, however, and splits his time between being his true calling and indirectly helping Dali whenever he can, having not forgotten the friendship they shared as pups.
