Going by the stage name Astuce ( a french word referring to wit and trickery ), Arthur is a well practiced magician. He is a member of the same mixed performance troupe that Mu-Zhi is ( Troupe de Tour ), and is certainly more tolerable to be around. But, compared to Mu-Zhi that's not really saying much.

Arthur has quite the ego surrounding his craft. He will challenge anyone who claims to be a magician to create a more dazzling spectacle that his, and is confident that they cannot best him. It remains to be seen if he is truly unbeatable as a magician, but he does at least desire the ego for his skills as an entertainer. He plays the stage quite well, and knows how to wow and engage any crowd he comes across, which has made him highly valuable to the troupe ( whose main goal is wealth over reputation ) and this has done nothing but feed his ego. Off the stage however, he is quite the gentleman, keeping an aura of dignity around himself and carrying on with grace. He keeps his head held high, and does demand the same respect he typically gives. He tends to look down on others, but doesn't chastise them.

He is, however, quite serious about his craft. He can often be found studying magical texts or reading up on ancient mythology to come up with new, exciting, and fresh ideas for his shows. He feels worthless if he bores an audience, in fact his entire self worth is based on his image as a capable magician, which often leaves him quite flustered on stage if a trick doesn't preform as he'd hoped. To avoid this, he practices constantly, and only unveils new tricks once he is sure he has perfected them.

He is married to Lihua, something that has caused him to feel both 'heaven and hell', as he puts it. Though he does love and dote on his wife the fact that his gentlemanly flirt persona has become less that and more just, his actual personality, has not won him any points with her.
