Description

Galaxei was born into a prominent noble family in Eastern Eutopia and as such inherited his father’s title as Duke and his position of military advisor on the Queen’s council when he became of age with his father mentoring him and still taking on some of the duties of their position.
Galaxei grew up with his single father. He had always been told that his father was his only parent and he knew nothing different until he grew old enough to understand why that wasn’t possible. His father then explained to him that before he was born he had been in a relationship with another man who Vladimir had never desired to speak of. He left as soon as he found out that Vladimir would be having his child, fearing the scandal that might come with getting a noble pregnant. So he left him to take care of Galaxei and the potential scandal on his own. Thankfully, there was no scandal and the rest of the nobles rallied around Vladimir to be sure the baby was born with no issues. The birth of a new Dragonborn was always something to be celebrated, inside of wedlock or not. It wasn’t until a few years later that Galaxei realized that his father was trans.
His father was often busy with his duties, so he was taken care of by servants and nannies a good bit of his childhood. Even still, his father made room for him when he could and oftentimes they would spend their time together riding or taking care of the horses. These fleeting moments led Galaxei to love spending his free time with the horses. Through the years his father taught him to ride as well as fight and hunt from horseback. He often told Galaxei that he was one of the most talented cavaliers in all the Eutopias.
When Galaxei was a young adult, just before his coronation, he found a young tabaxi boy, about the same age as him, hiding with the horses in the stables one evening when he’d gone out for a late night ride. But instead of immediately calling the guards he spoke with the boy, asking why he was hiding. The boy introduced himself as Death and explained that people had chased him away, thinking that he was a curse because misfortune seemed to follow him wherever he went; hence the name Death. He begged Galaxei to leave him alone, fearing that he would also become a victim of his misfortune, but Galaxei refused.
He offered him a place to stay, at first hiding him in the loft above the stables. However, not much slipped past Vladimir and he convinced Galaxei to tell him about Death, then offering for him to have a spare room in their manor. He explained that if Galaxei trusted him then he trusted his judgment and he was never the type to leave a person in need on their own.
Death then moved into the house, offering to work for them but Vladimir refused to allow him. He was a guest and he refused to treat him as anything but, no matter how long his stay might be. However this outlook changed when Galaxei began to get much closer with him. Galaxei eventually admitted to his father that he had romantic feelings for Death and therefore Vladimir began to treat him as family.
Galaxei and Death grew closer still while he was in the process of becoming Duke and began dating. Death often helped him study and prepare for the coronation. After he became Duke, Death stayed by his side and helped with his duties; usually those that needed to be done at the manor. He usually stays home to take care of the horses and make sure things are running smoothly when Galaxei has to travel.
Recently Galaxei’s father went to visit Western Eutopia to speak with the King on the Queen’s behalf. While he was there he died under mysterious circumstances and foul play by enemies of the Eutopia’s is suspected. Galaxei was sent to retrieve his father’s body and investigate what the cause of death could be.
