Pickle and his twin brother Cucumber were both born to Queen Beetroot, King GRASSISBEST, and King Kirlia in the Bug Army. He was born during both the middle of a war AND the middle of a drought. He was born as a precautionary heir in case something happened to his older half-brother, Prince Scythe.

Due to being born in wartime, Pickle was not given proper Cheese Education and instead was just taught to be a soldier. And due to the brutality of the war, the Bug Army needed more soldiers to help them fight, so he was a child soldier. Somehow, he did not die during the war.

When his mother was killed and the war finally ended, it was 2013 and he was 4 years old, and an adult. His brother, now the king of the Bug Army, put Pickle on the Royal Council. This job was short lived however, as after an argument got too heated and King Scythe got injured, Pickle was removed from the council to be a regular soldier. This was fine with Pickle, since he hated responsibility anyways, and being on the Royal Council required responsibility.

Pickle spent the next 8 years living an average life in the Bug Army, although the drought still made life rather hard. His brother, King Scythe was assassinated and was succeeded by his daughter Queen Rápida in 2016, but other than that, nothing really happened until 2021.

In 2021, Queen Rápida decided that the Bug Army had enough of the drought, and she was going to find a better place for the Bug Army to live. The current leader of the CHEESE GANG at this time, a Togedemaru called CHEESE rat, had an inkling friend they called ‘Cheese Lady’ or something like that.

The Bug Army was able to find Cheese Lady’s apartment, and Queen Rápida took a small squad of her most trusted soldiers with her to go take over the apartment. Pickle was not one of the soldiers the queen took with her, but he was still excited for this new and not overbearingly hot home. However, the inklings were powerful, and drove the Bug Army out of their apartment multiple times.

Eventually, not long after realizing that this ‘Cheese Lady’ was actually a goddess, and the Bug Army finally accepting her, the drought went away. There was now no need to take over the Squid Sister’s apartment, much to Pickle’s disappointment, as he wanted a chance to fight the Bloodthirsty Woomy and a literal Goddess like the other soldiers did.

Eventually, in October 2022, Pickle’s great-great-nephew, Prince Mint Chocolate the Snom, was killed by a CHEESE GANG member. The murderer was a rabbit named Cream, and Pickle LOVED killing rabbits! He was eager to go and kill her and avenge his great-great-nephew, but she and the rest of the CHEESE GANG buddies escaped.

The Bug Army waged war on the CHEESE GANG because of the prince’s death, so he was able to try and fight Cream again. He fought the leader of the CHEESE GANG instead though, a Lopunny, and killed her instead. Cheese Lady showed up and stopped the fight after that, so he wasn’t able to fight Cream. She is still next on his kill list though, even though he will literally never kill her for plot reasons.

During December 2023, a Bug Army Civil War happened. Many bugs didn’t like King Velocidad and his disrespect of Cheese Lady and the CHEESE GANG, and left to go make a better Bug Army somewhere else. Pickle left with them, not necessarily because he agreed with all their ideals, but because the CHEESE GANG was leaving too and he didn’t want to miss out on killing them.

As soon as they were getting ready to leave, a ginormous lady, Trainer Girlfriend, showed up and kidnapped them all. She took them to a terrarium place in Unova, and the Bug Army decided to make their home in the Savannah Biome of it.

During January 2024, Pickle met Milkshake, and fell in love with her. He has been simping for her since. And nothing else has happened so far, so his backstory is done for now.
