Tony

Tony is a part of a group of twelve "Operatives." They are kept in consensual quarantine; aware that they're not like other people in the world, and under the command of a mysterious figure. It seems their purpose is to do good in underhanded ways - a set of organized Robin Hoods, if you will. Each operative is equipped with at least some amount of cybernetics below the waistline, and they are all specialized for different skillsets.

Like the rest of the agents, Tony doesn't know where he came from. Unlike the others, though, Tony has no dreams, no visions, no snippets of the life he left to become an operative. Cyborg from the waist down, Tony is more than convinced he isn't as real as his counterparts. He was fabricated - he's fake. Inorganic. Was never a person to begin with.

Pessimistic to an extreme and a bit of a nihilist, Tony is impossible to get along with and isolates himself from most of the other operatives. He is disagreeable and crass and makes absolutely no effort to be kind to anyone. He is pretty much only tolerated by Mimsy, the eldest operative.

Tony specializes in shapeshifting. He excels in shifting into fabrics and hyena-adjacent mammalian shapes. While his base form is still human, he prefers to keep ears and a tail to aid his senses. He is able to achieve a werewolf-like form when he pushes this to extremes and is often present as a bruiser when on missions.

He smokes like a chimney, although he holds back when he's indoors at the behest of the other operatives, and pretty much permanently smells of it - although, to be fair, this makes it much easier to find him when he shapeshifts, as long as you know what to look for.

What none of the operatives know is that they are all revived from the dead. Tony is, in fact, the unborn son of Mimsy, who died from complications during her late pregnancy - hence his lack of memories.
