Marcus Marfont

Marcus Marfont is the king of Antartes: The Blood Kingdom. 

On the surface, Marcus is a reserved, snarky, and curt ruler. He's not very into socializing and his short temper makes him prone to being easily offended, clashing with others, and walking away from interactions. Thus, he often comes off as being unkind and rude.

However, beneath this exterior, Marcus is actually a very kind and compassionate person. He cares deeply for his friends and subjects and won't hesitate to act in their favor. His avoidance of others and defensiveness mainly stem from shyness and feelings of not being ready to be king.

He doesn't like wearing his crown, so unless specified, you're welcome to draw him without it! 

The gems on his crown and brooch are meant to be shaped like drops of blood.

Marcus's story will be explored in The Princess and the Werewolf. However, here are some background details about him:

● His biological family consisted of his father (John), mother (Miyung), and an older brother (Connor). 

● He was adopted by King Alexander around age six.

● Upon King Alexander's death, Marcus was granted the title of king despite being underage because his kingdom lacks a protocol on what to do when a ruler dies and leaves behind only an underage heir. Nonetheless, he continues to be widely viewed and referred to as "prince".
