Kaito is outwardly a well-meaning social individual that at a first glance can come off as a bit of a silly, mischievous person. However, those who look past the exterior of someone that appears to exist purely for the fun and enjoyment of life will find that the redhead is rough around the edges, his aura and energy pushing at the seams of his very being almost as though there's something much, much larger at the center of his core.
Kaito has lived long enough to learn how to pass as a mortal being and he's keenly aware that the people of Eorzea don't take lightly to his kind, the voidsent. As such, he hides his true identity behind well-crafted lies and dodgy banter, realizing that it's easier to lie than having to deal with the fall-outs and the outright hostility some individuals force upon him when they learn the truth.
- Although a shapeshifter, Kaito is unable to fully hide all of his voidsent features - regardless of the form he takes, he almost always displays a set of horns on the top of his head. He's dodgy about them and will usually scoff and say that a family member was an au ra.
- His preferred form is that of a midlander hyur with pointed ears, but he's been seen to take on the form of a viera, au ra and miqo'te as well.
- Though capable of using magic, Kaito prefers to use his physical strength and abilities in combat. Most commonly he can be seen with a Far Eastern sword, but will occasionally turn to using a reaper scythe or a warrior axe.
- Kaito's natural hair color is a black brown. As a voidsent, it turns lighter when he's running low on aether, turning completely white when he's empty. Because of this, he dyes his hair (red, because it's his favorite color).
