Sione (Io) Blythe

Personality:

Her interests lie in the tangible, not the abstract: taking things apart and seeing how they work, and bothers not with the philosophical mysteries of the universe. This could be why she seems to take a liking to tinkering with technology, as it satisfies this curiosity and keeps her hands busy at the same time. Despite her demigod status she regards the world in absolute wonder and a good many things are capable of amazing her. She is also sweet and usually selfless, sharing whatever she has with others without complaint. Sione is incredibly difficult to anger; a trait inherited from her father. When she is brought to feeling rage, however, it boils over coldly, almost viciously. Still, she has a sense of wisdom about her, though she still has the carefree attitude of a teenager. Mostly, she just wants to see the universe her mother created.

Likes/Dislikes:

• Vines. Her and Caelan swap making videos on it during their shenanigans, of which they've gained a small following. Instagram is also fairly popular with them.
• It's very clear that Io is incredibly fond of Caelan; the two are thick as thieves, and harming the avian is one of the few things that will incite a rage in Io that rivals her mother's.
• Io also adores the little glowing moth that accompanies her, Vi. The two are inseparable.
• She loves creating things; machines and technology especially. Some of her signatures include the functioning reverse-gravity 'wings' she stores in a device on her back and a portable holographic star navigator.
• She still hates green gummy bears; or anything 'green' flavored, really.
• Io is extremely skeptical of anyone who claims to be a fortune-teller or a seer.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

• Io is incredibly innovative: she has a knack for turning a bunch of scrap into a mechanical wonder, and is always looking for new ways to test this ability.
• She's also fairly skilled in shapeshifting: she can transfer shifts quickly and seamlessly, combining parts of other animals to suit her needs.
• She has what some call 'ability-induced narcolepsy': using her powers tends to sap energy from her, and if used too frequently or all at once, can cause her to pass out for a good few hours. She has better control over it now, so it's rare for her to pass out, but using her abilities can still tire her out.
• Io's tendency to try and see the good in people has screwed her over more than once; not everyone is as wonderful as she'd like to believe, after all.
• Philosophical debates and questions are not Io's strong suit in the slightest. Therefore, English class was something she always struggled with.
