Kolja

Kolja is the Prince of a Northern, icy kingdom known as Snæverja. He is the first child born of a couple who struggled to concieve for many years, so his birth was seen as an omen of good luck to the people.

He began training in combat when he was young, and found both an interest and aptitude in a subject. He idolized those strong knights who roamed the land, protecting people from monsters and evil. His father was hesitant to let him go; he couldn't bear the thought of his only son being put in mortal danger. For years this was a contentious issue in the palace. But when the son of a rival kingdom disappeared-- allegedly taken by demons-- Kolja jumped on this chance. What better to repair the relationship between their nations? After much talk, his father relented. The kingdom sent Feltz, a strong warrior, to assist and protect Kolja as they searched for the missing prince. Along the way, they met Ayther, an angel dedicated to hunting demons. The three agreed their goals aligned and decided to travel together.

Snæverja is relatively small, on account of how difficult it can be to survive in such a cold land. As such, the communities tend to be tight-knit and the people kind. As such, Kolja grew up not really experiencing people being bad, mean, or evil. He sees evil as a force of nature, like a blizzard, instead of something that people can become. This innocent outlook on life also makes him remarkably gullible: why would someone lie or cheat or kill? He very much has the energy of a puppy: excitable, playful, and friendly. Don't underestimate him, though. He's still a remarkably strong warrior, brave to the point of occasionally being reckless, who has a strong sense of duty to protect the common people. He would give his life to that end, if he had to. And he would be proud to do so.
