Malenia is a loner and she tells herself that she likes it this way. She need not rely upon anyone else for she is strong and more than capable of overcoming any obstacle.
Despite Malenia's strength, she is quite sickly and often has sores and scabs on her skin which she treats with medicine made from the white flowers that grow in the part of the swamp she has claimed for her own. Her home is mainly the white flowers and shallow water that gives her skin relief as well as a massive tree that towers over the meadow. She has few possessions, except for a golden sword she found and a wooden throne like chair that she can often be found sleeping in.
With Malenia's free time, she is often found sparring and practicing her skills to keep her battle ready for anyone that may cause trouble. She is not above helping others who ask for it and this is often the only time she travels away from her home. Yet those that ask for help must be deemed worthy in her eyes and this can often be proven through words, promises or actions. Malenia cares little for possessions or gifts.
Sometimes, Malenia's anger can get the better of her and she can be quick to violence if she or her brother are insulted. When she loses herself to her bloodlust she is almost impossible to stop and one would be advised to retreat and wait for her to fall asleep, which she will inevitably do after exerting herself in a fight. When she does fall asleep, she is difficult to wake and can sleep for many days to recover.

Oliva, a ruthless pirate captain who was lucky, or unlucky enough, to run aground close to Malenia's home in the swamp - the Haligtree. Olivia's personality and bravery impressed Malenia enough to warrant helping her. Together, they worked to free Oliva's ship that had run aground in the swamp, an area notorious for its dangers - particularly the large alligawpers who call the surrounds of the Haligtree home. Yet that wasn't all for Olivia had been pursued by assailants that Malenia deftly dealt with, giving Olivia the time to tend to her wounds and free her ship. Malenia let Olivia leave with a new story to tell and a promise that should she ever need a favour in return, she would call upon her...
Malenia loves to sleep. An aspect of her behaviour that has become somewhat known amongst the other Symprites. She also has a fearsome reputation for being at her most hostile if she is awoken early. This is something that Zephyr learned all too well, for he awoke her for a duel, one that Malenia was all too happy to indulge in. It was from this fight that Zephyr was forever scarred as Malenia dealt a savage wound to his back. Zephyr escaped Malenia but she did not forget his daring. Years later, when Zephyr was working for Olivia they were reunited once again. Malenia came close to starting another fight but between Olivia calming the situation and Zephyr offering his apology, the reunion did not result in bloodshed.
Davy interests Malenia. He is strong and ruthless, much like herelf and isn't afraid to go after what he wants. These are things Malenia greatly respects. Every year, she goes to Davy on his ship, along with other like minded Symprites in a meeting called 'The Council', where exploits are lauded and shared goals are discussed. Any Symprite would do well not to draw the ire of the Council.
Koschei is one of the few that can go toe to toe with Malenia. When these two 'spar' it is best to keep a safe distance as neither likes to loose and neither know when to stop. Malenia loves their fights as she can finally let loose.
