- remembers having been called Gwydre before, but decided to go by Xelqua instead after receiving a vision several years back
- her friends are allowed to call her Xell, they are not allowed to call her Quacks (they do it anyway)
- President of The Watchers Society, a group of mothcats and the like who have managed to break the fourth wall and consider themselves to be on a higher cognitive level than those around them; they're pretty secretive as they worry that their abilities spreading would ruin society's stability. and also being special is more fun
- Xelqua is more serious about it than most of their members, purely because Someone has to keep order and she swore an oath to those that came before her
