Profile

Vexus stands at 7' even. He is very frail built and effiminate in nature. He has a feminine composure and a very well defined face. His hair can be either white or ivory depending on the lighting it's in. It's very long and usually kept up in a ponytail, braid or a bun, with draping bangs on either side of his face. He has very slightly pointed ears, though they dont extend any further outward than a normal human's ear. His eyes are entirely star patterned, there is no actual eye in the eye socket, they are just open doorways to gaze into the void from which he came from. Vexus himself is a vessel of the void, though he functions almost completely indistinguishable from a human. He often wears light purple fake eyes to cover up the fact that he isn't human. Vexus is very friendly and outgoing, always trying to keep an air of positivity to any situation. He is a selfless creatue and will do anything he can to make those around him feel happy and comfortable. He often goes out of his way to retrieve anything he is asked, and will not stop working on a task until it is completed to perfection. He often smells of flowers and can be seen adorned in brilliant purple lilies and blue moonflowers. Vexus is a realm walker, existing partially between the physical realm and the realm known as the void. On this plane between two existences is where his most alienable aspect lies, his Tendrils. From his back exist a large amount of ethereal, star patterned tendrils. They do not have any phsyical mass and thus interact with the world in a different sense. The air around vexus may seem heavy for this exact reason, and when things move without really being touched, the cause of which can be allocated to these tendrils.

Vexus typically resides in a small oasis in the middle of a Desert. The oasis stretches for about a mile across in a broken circular pattern. In the middle of this Oasis is a pristine lake, the waters of which were said to be created from the remains of an ancient god. The Lake stretches deep into the ground, so far that nobody has ever actually reached the bottom. The myth states that the body of the god is still at the bottom of the lake, and that he is waiting for the time to which he needs to return to the living world. The Lake stretches a few hundred yards across, far enough that from one side of the lake you can barely see a person standing on the other. The lake is surrounded by tents and stands of varying sizes. Vexus' tent is a large an extravagent piece that is placed near the shallow end of the lake, as he is the leader of this small oasis it is only customary that his tent is quite the spacious one. His tent is seperated into small rooms, each cut off by the others by decorative curtains. To enter his tent, one would pass through two sets of curtains and entering a main room of sorts, decorated with shelves casing various knick-knacks, cases of weapons, as well as a few cushions on the floor for one to sit and converse. Passing through another set of curtains would put you in his dressing room, a room lined with chifferobes on one side and wardrobes on the other, as well as a large floor to cieling mirror. This room would often have incense burning, tingling the nose with a deep musky smell. Pass the final wall of curtains and you're in the bedroom. Delicate lights and candles line the walls and cieling here, and a very large bed takes up most of the space in the room, the bed is covered in fine silk sheets and you wonder how he got these so far in the Desert.

Most tents are not this well kept, the others mainly consisting of a small mat that would be the bed, a thick quilt to keep out the cold of the desert nights, and a dresser or some other piece of decorative furniture. Everyone gets to pick their own tent from the ones that have not yet been claimed, and they get to decorate it in whatever manner or fashion they see fit, as long as they can afford and or find the supplies they wish for. Each person in this oasis has a job of some sort to do to earn their keep, be it smithing, running a small supply shop, cooking for others, or going out on supply runs. There are a variety of small shops and stands in the oasis. (A list will be placed below.) Vexus doesn't allow anyone to stay in the camp unless he sees them as useful to the rest of the camp, they have to contribute in some way to the overall upkeep of the oasis or they will be expelled from the land. Despite him having such a friendly attitude, he is still a leader and can be quite stern when he needs to be. He takes time out of his days to make sure everyone is okay, and to help with their personal needs in any way that he can assist. He makes sure to protect them in more ways than just their mental health, though. Vexus is very skilled when it comes to close combat, but often prefers to try and find a diplomatic solution before falling back to violence.

A list of Shops / Services

  • There is a weapons smith that resides in a large, dark brown tent at the northern head of the lake. He will make any weapons as long as you bring him the needed materials. He is partial to bargain via food. He is a larger built male with a rugged upper chest and arms, there is a visible scar that runs from the center of his collarbone to the side of his neck. He is an older man and will often ramble about his previous life if you stay long enough. He is the man who crafted most of the weapons the camp currently has in their possession. He also gets first pick of all new weapons that are brought in to the camp, and thus has a lot of pre-crafted weapons for sale if you can not afford a custom made one.
  • There is a tailor who lives a few tents to the right of the Smith. She is an elderly woman, her eyes are inset and she always seems to be daydreaming when you walk into her shop. The walls are lined with varying clothes in a multitude of textures, patterns, and colors. There is almost no combination she does not have. You are always wondering how she has so much fabric. She is not fast with her work, but she is quite skilled. She is partial to cookies, and loves to tell stories about an old lover she used to have. You wonder if the stories are even true, or if she has lost her mind due to the old age.
  • There is a small section of the camp basically refered to as the market. This is the equivalent of a general store. A huddle of tents that offer almost any basic need, from knick knacks to quick foods, as well as supplies for one heading out into the desert. IE; canteens, cloaks, hoods, satchels and weapon holsters. The shop owners here all seem to know each other and get along relatively well. They love to hear stories and offer discounts to anyone who can muster a laugh out of them.
  • There are two doctors on site, one for female patients and one for male patients. Their tents are adjacent to each other, and the two are married. The couple are middle aged and are always overly friendly. Their tents are grey on the outside with Red crosses painted over the entrances. The insides are somehow pristine and white, and they actually have a plethora of modern medicinal equipment. You are unsure of how they have electricity, but you decide its better not to question these things. The doctors do not charge for their work, but instead work on a favor system. They will heal you of any ailments as long as you remain open to a favor or two in return for their works.
  • There is a woodworker who enjoys very much to make custom pieces of furniture as well as carvings and trinkets for others. He is a younger male, in his early twenties at most, but his skill is far beyond his time. He has crafted almost every wooden item that is in the camp. He has a twin brother who does the decorative work on the items, and together a piece of furniture can take less than a week to complete. They very much enjoy music and will take songs as a discount for their work.
  • On the topic of music, there exists an instrument shop buried amongst the cascade of tents. The tent is relatively small, but there is a surprising number and variety of instruments inside. Varying from flutes to handmade cellos, one could find nearly any instrument they seek inside of this packed shop. The elderly man who runs the shop no longer has vision, but he is very keen to hearing and can tell apart any instrument just by sound. He enjoys descriptive talks about the current state of the world, but does not offer any discounts on his products as they are almost the hardest to come across.
  • There are varying art shops among the trading side of the desert, ranging from paintings to handmade bags and satchels. To find these shops you simply need to ask as there are a plethora of gifted individuals living amonst the oasis, Vexus included. All quilts in the camp are made by the ivory haired male, and they cost nothing.
