The Originator of life Itself. Behold, her Majesty.
― The Word of Shaktinazia

The Source of Magic, Shakti was the first ever Thernian, pre-dating the current world itself. She was once a normal, rebellious teenage girl, until touching a glowing stone, which erased all life from the planet, refreshing it anew from her subconscious.

Appearance

Shakti doesn't usually have a physical form nowadays, she is pure magic, which is despersed across the entire planet. So I guess technically she looks like the planet itself, and everything within it, like air, and food... and... fuckin... Pee? Gross! Basically she as Magic itself doesn't look like anything. Altertively, in Shaktinazia, there is a pit where concentrated magic glows, it being the source of where Shakti became magic. It glows a different colour for whomever sees it, reflecting either their hearts, or just how they percieve magic to look.

Whenever she decided to take physical form, she looks like a normal Base-Thernian woman, with some freckles on her face and legs. She has dreadlocks that she retained from her mortal life, but longer as she reached adulthood over the centuries. She now dressed in accessories of gods and kings of her world's legends, but does not wear anything else because, whatever, she isn't a person anymore, what you got to hide yourself for? Also she is green, eyes, skin, hair. If she has blood and organs, that shit be green too, she is G R E E N.

As a mortal, she had brown skin and bright purple eyes, with her orange dreads being neck length. At time of her ascension, and the death of her world, she was still wearing godly clothes, due to having done a dress rehearsal for the school play just before it all happened.

Personality

As a child, Shakti was obnoxious as fuuuuck. She was always cringe about her tastes in art, books, video games and TV. She would tell others about her cool Werewolf OCs, Moonday the Marvelous, and his evil nemesis, Moonnight the Malicious! She was bullied.

She also had an extreme jealous-streak, she hated it when people's attention wasn't on her. Like "damn, I'm the main in the school play? But everyone is all talking about how my dad has discovered some sort of glowing thing that radiates an energy never before seen? And he's too busy with this potentially dangerous material to remember to come to my rehearsals? Fuck everyone!"

After her ascension, Shakti matured over centuries of grief. As of now, she is a quiet woman who is lost in thought, a lot. Like there's really nothing else to do when you are energy itself. When she has a form, she speaks in a quiet manner, speaking in a formal tone to not break the illusion for her worshippers. She doesn't believe in good or evil, just a natural balance, anything unnatural, like Black Magic, she might gfet involved with. She STILL has a major jealous streak though, like, fuck, other religions? Screw them other gods, they are less real than her, shut up!

History

In Era 6798, Year 32, Month 13, Day 4, in the country known as ________, Shakti was born. She was pretty spoiled by her Archeologist dad, after losing her mum at a young age. She was always a creative child, drawing pictures, playing dressup, creating stories to tell her carer when her dad was away. She was not popular with the people at her school however, her nerdy nature made her a prime target for bullies. And when they found out her parents were never around? Even easier target man.

Years passed, and in Y47.M4, at the age of 14, she got some recognition, she was going to play the Goddess of Eras, in the Origin Story. This is a high achievement for any drama nerds, but then, her dad made a major find in the next country over, and they had to move. Shakti would be able to perform still over Hologram call, but it's not the same, all because of some glowing rock.

She tried her best to be supportive or whatever, but she had her life changed by some stupid discovery that noone was allowed to touch, the energy it radiated was considered dangerous, the fact that everyone saw the rock a different colour was also being researched (Shakti saw it as green). People should be paying attention to her play, or her art online, or her stories at school, but everyone just keeps on going about this stupid rock.

One day, on what was MEANT to be his day off, her dad went to the dig site that housed the rock, missing Shakti's dress rehearsal for the play, coming up this weekend. He was meant to come to this rehearsal because he wouldn't have made it to the actual play. And that's when she decided enough was enough, she took the shuttle to her dad's workplace, and saw it empty. Her dad was making some sort of business speech or meeting with the staff in the offices, leaving the site empty. Sure the security gates would stun any intruders, but she has a guest pass. She was alone with this stupid rock.

If this rock meant so much she would just say "screw it" and just pick it up herself, everyone is too scared to touch it? She'll do it, she'll give it to her dumb dad, and make him say sorry.

He ran out to try stop her, as soon as she touched it, she saw him blink out of existence right in front of her, the skin shred, the bones turned to dust, the buildings, the trees, the towers that filled the sky, the vehicles that flew across the world, in an instant, the faded to nothing, they ceased to exist, all except her.

Nah what she got was pure energy coursing through her, she felt like her body was melting into nothing, she felt everything, she was flying through the air, light as the wind, she was crashing aganst the rocks at the seaside, she felt the dust lay uon her whole body, the body of the planet, she was the world... And she was alone.

Shakti cried for centuries.

Fast forward some, Shakti eventually felt like growing, at a way more rapid pace than she thinks she remembered learning about in school, trees and plantlife first, and then, animals, seemingly out of nowhere just grew from the mud. And she wasn't actively doing this, she didn't think she could to this. But it was true, over the next few decades, the world was filled with wild life, and then she felt it, found it, around the world, people. They were formed through sheer magic itself, the magic in the world created lifebased on her subconscious, trees and animals exist, so here it is. People exist, here they are. And Shakti, well, she created them, she thinks? Does that make her the Goddess of a new Era?

Over the next years Shakti provided guidance to the people... or tried, see, while now an adult, her education stopped at 14, she doesn't know how to DO anything she took advantage of, she just had to guide them in the one thing she does now know, magic! She has it, and so do the people, they can learn it together (under the guise of her teaching them so she seems smart and Godly). Eventually the over the next few generations grew, forming towns, learning how to create. Doors! Wheels! Houses! Soap! Shakti loved that last one especially!

Years continued to pass, the populace of the world was becoming independant, Shakti was becoming less needed. She was always there of course, all over the world, she formed bonds of sorts, lovers, and formed more heartbreaks as they aged and died, while she remained. No matter what, the negativity remained, the heartbreaks of her loves, of friendships... and the entire world she erased by her petty feelings.

Eventually she was overcome with the sadness, and she tried expel them into a different life, make a monster that held all her negativity so that she could live happily, the monster, a Nuckelavee, a two headed beast that was meant to hold both her sadness and hate, one for each head. It did not cure her sadness, instead, it roamed, and roamed... and learned, it learned that it feeds off hate, it feeds off sadness and anger, it grows so much more powerful, so it desired to cause more. The Nuckelavee roamed the world, killingg and torturing people, specifically with loved ones, targeting parents of childrten who would desire revenge, just so they could come back and give him more hate. And as it grew more powerful, it knew it had one, VERY big target, Shakti herself.

The beast, known now as Vikhama, was able to defy the known reality of magic. Powered solely by it's desire to make Shakti despise him more, he formed a new style of magic, one she didn't have control over. Black Magic. While normal magic used by the people is renewable, transforming the energy into the desired effect before the energy returns to the world, Black Magic burned magic, it boosted it's power tenfold, and left nothing but black goop, completely empty of magic, nothing to return to the world, it burned Shakti's very existence. Which prompted Shakti to command the Thernians to fight back

Years later, and countless lives lost, the battle was won, the armies of Kaos was destroyed, a few straggler remained, the immortal beast Havitaja was imprisoned in a Magic ball that transformed to counter it's own transformations, and Vikhama himself was finally torn down by Shakti, destroying his body. And despite the victory, she just felt the pain of regret once more

Since then Shakti returned to her original pit, the source of her transformation, and let herself cease to be. Her direct actions kept making things worse, and she felt letting nature finally take its course would be the best thing for everyone, she had been losing who she was for so long, it was time to let it go, and she ler consciousness slip away, becoming one with the magic.

Ok but this new guy, hundreds of years later is making rest a noise and a half in that temple built over her source, she might have to bring herself back to see what this big Moose is up to...

Abilities

Being the Source of Magic itself, Shakti is connected to (almost) everything in the world. People, plants, animals, machines that are powered by energy. Of course this connection means, should she manifest in the physical world, her control over magic, almost all styles of it, outclasses everyone.

Skillset

  • Good Public Speaker
  • Was learning anatomy in her drawings she swears.
  • Best singer in her school

Unique Abilities

  • Control over Anything Magic (Mostly)
  • Has created life (though not with intention)
  • Is literally everywhere all at once, best spy

Relationships

Vikhama

I despise you down to your very atoms. But I suppose that is what you desire of me.

Vikhama was one of the few times Shakti created a life with intent. In an attempt to end the centuries of sadness and anger, she tried manifest that into a seperate being, a selfish desrire that only brought regret. Vikhama did not remove any hate from Shakti's heart, but he was fueled by it, and negativity as a whole. He unleashed plagues of suffering upon the early Thernians, and Shakti had to step in to fight back. Vikhama also created black magic, which Shakti cannot control, and every use of it in the world hurts her to this day.

Eldrick Eldwin

Wait, how did you do that?

Guardian Wizards, she was not a fan of them, they supposedly guarded her from the dangers of those who want to control her. But please, she's magic itself, she is a force, not a controllable being. But this one, he was different from the previous two, this guy... this guy knows magic tricks, not like, literal magic, but sleight of hand, misdirection, things that she has never seen before, maybe, ok, maybe this one deserves to see her, the person Shakti.

Trivia

  • Was inspired by ancient civilisations, like the Mayans, but with a super future twist on her backstory.
  • Her initial design borrowed heavily from a Human Tikal fanart I saw once (and wish I could find agan for reference). She's become her own character since but some stuff like the dreadlocks remained.
  • Shakti as a name means "Power" in Hinduism. Power is a central theme for my lore, so it was a very fitting name for the accidental creator of the world. So what I DIDN'T know was that Shakti was the female equivilent of Shiva in Shaktism, a version of Hinduism in which the metaphysical world is metaphorically a woman. The more you know I guess!? Shakti is already a goddess in like, the real world, oops!
