Whenever he stumbles across something seemingly supernatural, he draws a sketch in his notebook along with any information he can glean from the thing.
Usually this involves staring at it for prolonged periods of time and, occasionally, poking it (very carefully) with a stick.
Sometimes they also attempt to take smaller supernatural creatures home with them - these attempts usually don't end well, but so far that has not deterred them.
They want a funky creature as a pet and they will get one, no matter the cost!
(They have also looked into creating one themself using magic, but they have little knowledge on the subject and Sterling, local magic expert, seems unwilling to help for whatever reason.)
