Tomus comes off as very polite, smug, detached, and almost 'whimsical'. Even when saying unpleasant things his tone is nothing but pleasant. Despite being aloof, he's always had a strong desire for family and pleasure and all things, and he has a gentleness towards his family, especially his daughter Mary. Likewise, children in general never fail to tug at his heart strings.
Tomus is the God of Desire. He's a former spirit who, before that, was a demon prince a very long time ago. After breaking rules by absorbing the souls of his ex-fiance's horrible family in a fit of revenge, he was executed by the devil Lucifer and turned into a spirit with a monstrous form. Ok I forget the symbolism of the bandages+eyes+book but it's there give me a bit and i will enter it
He has a pattern of misfortune when it comes to his partners. As a demon, he was a bratty, arrogant prince who was in an arranged engagement with his childhood friend, Lucia Belmonte. The two were sent to neighboring kingdoms as gifts from the gods, both to quite toxic families. However, the two never had quite the successful relationship, both more in love with someone else, both not knowing how to handle the relationship.
Tomus was in love with his personal guard Silas, feeling like he could be more than a prince under immense pressure and cherishing his kindness, but Silas was banished and Tomus was told he ran away of his own accord.
After being banished to the spirit realm, he was let out by an angel named Juno. She helped nurse him back to feeling well in the human world, and they said their farewells. Shortly after he met a witch named Aya and her girlfriend Katia and helped mentor Aya with magic as the two grew close and fell in love. However happy the two made each other, tragedy struck when she was murdered mysteriously.
Years later, he possessed a young witch named Seth Favreau to help him take revenge on the village, disguising himself as a spellbook to guide Seth through magic before stealing a place in the back of Seth's head.
When Seth nearly died in taking his revenge, the surge of Tomus' magic used to heal him fused the two's souls and turned Seth into a demon. Since then, he's been both a voice of reason preventing Seth from being killed and a nudge of agreeance towards more sinister actions. Even though Seth may not realize he exists, he finds it quite nice inside the demon's head.
Eventually he gets turned into a god, it's happened different ways after different verse/story resets so I'm trying to figure out when he does but usually he's tested unknowingly on the depths of his desire and he hates the gods bc they ruined his life!!! So i wonder what happnes ;)
