One of the guardians of the world clock, is the slightly older twin

isn’t the god of the moon itself, but rather the concept of nighttime

is the slightly stronger twin out of the two of them

tends to slip into ancient forms of a language, esp when excited

highkey cheerful playful and pretty easily excitable too, has a super sociable personality

is also rash and unpredictable and seriously never thinks about the consequences, only the final outcome,  before she does anything-

not that she cares about the consequences

Yakan is actually quite cold blooded and has a low-key twisted mindset, not being able to see the true value of life and is the type to choose the most efficient path, even if it may lead to the deaths of many lives. She doesnt see a problem in  her mindset and thus doesn’t try to hide it in anyway, so sometimes she’ll say stuff that are quite dark with her cheerful face

when someone does point out that her thoughts are concerning she would be genuinely surprised before going on about how it’s not concerning but the evidences she use to support her point tend to make it even more concerning. She does give up at the end though, but due to it being a natural part of her mindset it’s rlly hard for her to actually change completely.

its not that she’s 0 iq- she can make seriously detailed plans that actually work out in the split of a second, if she wanted to. The problem is that none of her plans actually put human emotion and stuff that would otherwise be super obvious to a normal person into account.

for example, she could come up with a whole plan to restore the clock

the thing is that her plan includes a lot of kidnapping people and general world destruction

another example of a typical dialogue between Hiruma and Yakan

‘Oh, Hiruma, you want a flashy entrance? :0c ? Let’s summon a comet then! It would definitely be able to show off our power and allow us to gain others respect!‘

‘,,, i think that would invoke more hostility and fear rather than respect, and the entire area would probably be flattened‘

’B-but the people that we’re looking for wouldn’t be killed by the comet! It should also allow us to test their strength and see if they’re capable of breaking that spell thingy!’

’w-well yea, but everyone else in a 10m radius would be killed’

’We can use their spirits to make weapons for the people that we need! Spirit weapons are pretty strong right right’

’no, listen, please just don’t‘

Hiruma would be dead inside by the end of the conversation and Yakan would be sighing and trying to figure out what was wrong with her plan’

————————————

The world clock is the clock of thrylos, responsible for the flow of time- if the clock dies, then time would freeze, allowing the gods to alter time as they wish and turn the world back to how it was decades, centuries, or even millions of years ago as if nothing has ever happened. How this works is that basically everyone gets killed and, if liable, revived into the time period which the world has been newly set to, effectively starting a new timeline. The dead would also be revived . Kinda like a large scale ctrl c v

The gods of thrylos are treated as outerworld beings and thus will not be deleted, save for the clock guardians as their lifelines are directly tied to that of the clock’s

Currently, the clock is dying

This is because thrylos is becoming more and more chaotic and the gods have come to an agreement that they don’t wanna deal with the increasing prayers and stuff of their followers because they can’t fulfill every single one of them- when a god can’t fulfill a follower’s wish, they lose a bit of their power due to the loss of faith. Usually this loss is very very minimal but due to the massive influx of prayers, it’s starting to become annoying. If the world were to be reset back to the time period before all the chaos happened, then the gods could prevent it from happening and thus regain their original strength.

As a result, all the gods, except for yakan and hiruma, casted a corroding spell on the world clock, causing it to slowly crumble away.

The two guardians werent informed of this plan so they be trying to stop the spell under the assumption that just one or two gods have decided to betray the world and kill the clock. The thing is that gods also have a ranking order and those of the lower ranks can’t oppose those of the higher ranks, so the two are actually unable of stopping the spell no matter how powerful they are. However, mortals aren’t included in this ranking order and thus won’t be restricted.

So, Hiruma and Yakan are now searching the mortal realm for someone to oppose the power of the gods and restore the clock.
