Ambition

Ambition comes from a race of predatory humanoids, known for feeding off others for their life force via a slit on one of their hands. Doing so has allowed this race of aliens to have exceptionally long lives, expansive regeneration capabilities, and extensive knowledge gained from their prey.

Hailing originally from the Pegasus Galaxy, they do not live on planets but remain on ships that once housed thousands of their kind. Though technologically impressive, these wraiths are often shunned from alliances and intergalactic organizations because of their feeding habit.

Ambition though, was found amongst the wreckage of one of these ships and taken in as an orphan. When young, wraiths can subsist off “normal” food until puberty. Ambition was taken in by a governmental body, who found her too dangerous to be left with civilians.

Growing up surrounded by scientists and the military, she suffered great hunger in her teen years while they tried to find alternatives. Baser animals did not work and most normal food became only a sensory pleasure. Eventually they figured out a way to inject synthesized “life force” that gave Ambition most of their abilities, but greatly diminished.

Once this was figured out, Ambition was trained to be an excellent assassin and eventual spy.

Feeding on humanoids grants them great strength but Ambition has been under heavy scrutiny if they ever do feed on another humanoid.

Ambition is considered a “female” of the species but wraiths have several genders. Ambition has not met other wraith, for they are a hive-mind like race with limited telepathic abilities such as causing mild hallucinations and convincing others to do their bidding.

Ambition’s handler is Uatlizk Kroz, a scientist hailing from a lizard like species. While emotionally reserved, Kroz holds a special place in Ambition’s heart as the most kind and least cruel of the scientists and trainers in charge of her. Currently, Kroz serves as her long term handler and goes on missions with her.
