Background
Hale grew up middle class with his younger sister and his parents. Growing up, Hale had some trouble fitting in and was bullied relentlessly, mostly for his obviously gay character. When he came out, his father disowned him and forced Hale to move in with his secretly lesbian aunt. Things got better for him after that, and Hale began to explore himself and his interests. He discovered his love for drama and the theatre, but resigned himself to studying robotics because that's the most hireable degree on Osypso, and especially in Sille.
After a few years of living with his aunt and not having any contact with his family, Hale tried to reach out to his sister. She was avoidant at first, but eventually admitted to missing him and they began to rekindle their sibling relationship. Hale's sister was the one that pushed him to go to college, and get his degree so he could get a job and move into his own place where they'd be able to see eachother again.
Hale went to the Jino Community College where he met Arlie and Azalea, becoming fast friends after a group project. He wasn't interested in a scientific experiment at first, but Azalea eventually pushed him into it.
Traits and Mannerisms
Hale is dramatic, and his personality is Loud. He likes to crack jokes at his own expense, but is fiercely loyal to his friends and the family members that haven't shunned him. On more than one occasion he's annonymously sent paragraphs of messages to people who've bullied or hurt someone he cares about, mainly because he knows how it feels to be deeply hurt by someone and he won't hesitate to defend them.
Hale tends to tap his feet to some song he has stuck in his head, and it's not uncommon to see him bouncing his shoulders and mouthing along to who knows what. Hale tries his very best to remain quiet and professional in class and in his day to day life, but it's a known fact that he has some pretty severe ADHD and even sitting still can be hard for him sometimes.
He's always in some play or musical, and almost always playing the lead. Hale is incredibly talented, boisterous, and makes friends crazy easily.
