Radon

An astrobiologist from the Terrene Protectorate, Radon spent the year between his graduation and Earth's destruction working as a researcher at a remote Protectorate base.

After Earth was destroyed—and the Protectorate along with it—he got his hands on a ship and went off on his own, travelling the universe to gather a collection of curiosities, artifacts, and natural wonders.

-never goes without his visor; he's functionally blind without it and it's insanely useful for storing/reviewing information, contacting people, and other things a Miscellaneous Scifi Gadget could do

-will talk at you for hours about science and natural history if you let him

-massive completionist and collector; has never left a video game at less than 100% complete

-absentminded professor type; he keeps abandoning projects midway through to wander off and mess with something else that caught his interest
