Basics
Bren at his core is an adaptable person who loves learning. He loves both the mind and spirit of the human race, and as such is inclined towards creative lines of work or sciences which he sees as speaking to the soul of humanity. Most often psychology or astronomy. All he wants is an uncomplicated happy life for himself and his daughter Rose. The American Dream. And in many ways he obtains it. He makes his way through college or creative spheres. Supports his daughter wholeheartedly. Everything that could be expected of a single father, generally speaking. He might spread himself a little thin at times, but he succeeds at what he set out to do.

About
Bren spent the majority of his formative years travelling. At first through America, and eventually, once he was old enough, Europe. Though he specifically developed a love for France and had his first and only child there. It's a time that he loves to allude to and tell stories from, though details are often hard to come by. However, at some point in his mid-twenties he returned to America and began the process of settling down.
Academic
Already at the age that most students would have gotten their bachelor's, Bren threw himself into college life. He took as many classes as his university would allow him during both regular and summer semesters in an attempt to catch up. His apartment may have been barren of much more than a mattress, but he managed to scrape by. Eventually this led to a masters and his own professorhood (or private clinical practice) which he continues to maintain.
Artistic
Having lost most of the contacts he had as a child, Bren started anew with just his motorcycle and the clothes on his back. He never much liked the nomadic life as a child, but it was what he was accustomed to, and now something that he could make his own. Bren made his way around the states to various fairs and festivals selling his music and art in exchange for enough money to buy gas for the next few towns and a place to stay.

Rose O'Brien [ Daughter ]
Her father's only child. Rose is beautiful, intelligent, and kind just as Bren taught her to be. Sure she can be a little sarcastic and hold grudges at times, but they're generally justified. Someone needs to have a spine in their family, after all.
