Professor Strelitzia

Professor Regina Strelitzia:
Has two Ph.D's: One in Poke-Genealogy, and the other, Mineralogy; specializing in evolution stones! Her career path originated from her passion for Pokemon Breeding; eventually fixating on the sheer malleability of their genetic structure, and took a "Pidgey-walk" through a couple STEM-fields in pursuit. Although her initial intent was to, not only provide the usual "Beginner Trainer Guidance", but to teach fledgling trainers proper Pokemon husbandry.
With all she had learned about each Pokemon, and the unique exchange they have with their ecosystems, the Professor believes: Even though the evolution of mankind is a lot slower process than Pokemon's, humans have used their time to make a conscience effort to understand them. Thus humanity has a responsibility to use that knowledge to enrich both lives for the better!
Her curiosity however, lead her to dapple with "strange stones" she had conjured, after taking a trip down memory lane, with her father's scientific footprints paving the way.

After wowing her peers at Celadon University, Professor Strelitzia now frontiers "Project Gattakite"; A process involving a newly discovered mineral, which results in viable fusions of Pokemon DNA. Her exact methods are largely coveted, but until perfected, she withholds the information in fear of it's potential abuse. For now, she works with volunteers, in a small lab outside Fortree city*, to understand and cultivate the strange new discoveries she's overturning with each successful fusion.

*Strelitzia's Lab is separate from the Weather institute on route 119. Her lab is a distant branch of Professor Rowan's department (though she doesn't get nearly the same amount of funding).
