Long ago her ancestors made a deal with the demon. When they failed to meet the demons price a curse was placed upon them. The demon said that he would possess her daughter and drag her to eternal torture. Scared her ancestors fled and found a priest. There was not much they could do. They couldn't break the curse, but they could keep it away. The priest showed them methods of keeping the demon away. Salting every doorway and window, wearing iron, and some holy water. This was the best they could do.
The demon tried to posses generations of her children but he could not.
When Claire Vidal was born she was never informed. Her parents figured they could keep it a secret until she was old enough to understand. This proved to be a grave mistake.
One night when Claire was no more than 3 she had gotten out of bed for a glass of water. She then heard a voice outside her front door begging her to let them in. Being the curios 3 year old she was she obeyed. The demon had disguised itself. He convinced her to break the salt lining the door.
When she did the demon took hold of her arms. She could feel a burning sensation course within her. Her parents awoke with a fright, when they got into the room they saw the demon. Part of their daughters face and arms were now scarred by the demons touch. Immediately they threw holy water on the demon and as he fell out the door they slammed it shut and re-did the salt line.
Their next concern was there daughter. They were terrified to see her.
Her eyes were now purple with her right sclera being nearly black, her ears now pointed, and canines sharp.
They knew that this wasn't her fault she was only 3.
Now she is 17 years old. She always wears her mask and jacket whenever she's outside. But when she's alone she takes them off. She still goes to school but under very strict rules.
1. Never leave the house without salt and holy water
2. Don't go outside when its dark. Demons are stronger in dark environments
3. Make sure you don't endanger others lives.
Over the years she's had these slight "accidents" happen randomly.
When she started Pre-k some kid took a toy she was playing with, when she screamed the toy shredded by itself.
During her 10th birthday parted when she got excited all the balloons popped.
She still tries to live a normal life. Though it's very difficult
