Parakeet was my first mascot, for a DA account named after her. She is among my oldest characters, not far behind Minty and Phoenix/Ice and crew in creation date, dating to early 2015.

Also the first of numerous widowed characters I've made?? lmao

Parakeet is no one special, but she's known a lot of special dragons throughout her life. She traveled the world, even as an egg, she ended up in the arms of a RainWing who hatched her and gave her the Parakeet.

She has had 3 mates: Hellbender the MudWing (he dies, but they loved each other), Ptarmigan the IceWing (he’s a terrible dragon, they divorce), and then Lucky (very slow friends to lovers relationship, they both die of old age around 120 shortly after falling in love, but they were happy together).

Parakeet was an insert into a fantasy world and an amalgam of a lot of characters I admired.

She ultimately absorbed a lot of my edgy nature as a 12 year old lol.

It's interesting to find that the have a bit of Nightwing inside of them. I am trying to find a friend for my Nightwing. Her name is Arapaima. They face off in a heated battle to find that they are evenly matched. Then they soon respect each other and travel together.
