Tokiwa 『常盤』

• Dragon God; Can control the weather (and natural disasters to some extent)
• Was sealed in a shrine for 10000 years after a series of natural disasters devastated the land; was blamed for causing the disasters and sealed away to "protect" the villagers, village eventually fell when crops failed and disease spread
• Accidentally released from his shrine by a clumsy novice onmyoji and became a wandering god
• Despite being betrayed by humans, he couldn't help loving them and settled again on the outskirts of a human settlement; the villagers are terrified of him
• He requested a human in exchange for his allegiance and power, but the villagers misunderstood him and keep bringing him human sacrifices; all he really wanted was a companion; he always gives the sacrifices a proper burial and blessing
• Eventually the onmyoji that accidentally released him (now a full fledged experienced onmyoji) was sent to seal him away again, but after explaining his situation to the onmyoji, the onmyoji decides to become his companion and take him with him on his travels
