Claire ran away from her awful family and lives in a cold cave under the lighthouse. She found a boy named Casper who was missing his mother and now the two are siblings! They both need a buddy to not be alone with. 

She has a rivalry with a glass crow named Beelzebub... she hates all birds and often jokes about how she will eat them. She hates bugs too... when she was younger she fell into a bush full of spiders, and a nest of nearby birds attacked her...
