Damasu is my current D&D character. Salimon went on a solo journey, and Damasu joined the party. Damasu is an old man who has been a part of an order of yokai killing warriors for decades. He sees yokai as chaotic and potentially violent beings, and specialized warriors are needed to defend against their powers. In Damasu's eyes, yokai aren't all evil and he can happily get along with them even, but the ones who wish to harm mortals are the ones that he needs to fight.
Damasu's personality is very reminiscent of a goofy uncle. He loves telling jokes, performing theatricals, and will often tell tall tales that embellish his personal glory. Damasu certainly has done commendable feats of bravery, but no one really believes him anymore since he's known for making stuff up so much. But he can't help making good stories even better.
