Fiftyfleds [C]

The Fiftyfleds, also known as 50F and by angels, as the Sangleo, is a species created by the original Archangel of Death to be the companions and soldiers of heaven. Their kind was once countless, but with the disappearance of their original creator and no means to reproduce among themselves, there are now only fifty of them left. They became known as the Fiftyfleds after their kind fled from heaven. 

When referring to the species as a whole, they can be called the Sangleo. Only the last fifty are the Fiftyfleds.

Fair warning right now: Fiftyfled info below will mention genitalia by their actual organ names and not boil it down to just "male" and "female" organs. You'll see the word "vulva" among other terms.

The Fiftyfleds are winged feline creatures. They vary in appearances quite a bit, both in colorful pelts as well as physical shapes and sizes. Some are stout and muscular while others are tall and lanky. None of them are smaller than a mountain lion while others have grown as large as a horse. However the Fiftyfled also have a lot in common with one another.

The species in its entirety was made and assigned female at birth, all created with a vulva and uterus. There is no Sangleo, dead or alive, that was assigned male at creation, and no member, dead or alive, has or will ever have a penis. However some members of the species, dead or alive, may identify as transgender or non-binary. 

The Sangleo have always looked like felines, with two striking pairs of wings tapering out from their brows and cheekbones. They all have small wings along their neck creating a mane, but some individuals only have wings along their spine while others have full, lion-like manes made of the little wings. They all sport larger wings on their back as well, that allow the cat to fly nimbly through the sky. The wings tend to be small, but many of the Fiftyfled have magic to change the size and shape of their wings to suit the situation they're in, from fast dogfights to enduring long migrations. Lastly, along their rump and right before the tail, the Sangleo all have thick, pronounced feathers to help with flight. Their tails, usually cat-like in appearance, vary length.

The Sangleo have all had human-like forms as well, but in this form they lose all but the wings attached to the brow and cheekbones. Physically, they all look human otherwise, but the colors of their skin and hair may still reflect their feline form. Most of the Fiftyfled have conflicting feelings about their humanoid form, as many of the angelic handlers punished them for changing form as the distinction between pet and equal became too blurred in doing so.

Some, but not all Fiftyfleds have an anthro form.

Behavior

The personalities of the Sangleo were long considered fierce and intelligent but obedient. The Fiftyfled have revealed themselves to not be as uniform as previously thought. Some are shy and sweet, while others are aggressive and violent. The common ground between each of the Fiftyfleds is that they are excellent fighters and value their freedom. Roaming the mortal world, the Fiftyfled still have a tendency to (loudly or quietly) question rules and laws decreed by the territory's rulers. Many of the Fiftyfled, nice or not, are anarchists. Meanwhile a handful of others have taken up leadership roles. 

Something to keep in mind about any of their personalities is that they are immortal creatures. There is no generation 2 of their kind, they were all created at the beginning and therefore making the Fiftyfleds millions, if not billions, of years old. (note: you're welcome to specify that exact age based on your own angel-universe's lore.)

It wasn't until after the first Archangel of Death was gone that angels realized the number of Sangleo was limited and dwindling. There is not and has never been a means for the Sangleo to create another purebred Sangleo. This is because all of their kind bear vulvas. Attempts have been made to change the reproductive organs of the Sangleo and while the secondary sexual organs/characteristics can be altered entirely, it would appear that the Archangel of Death put something in the Sangleo makeup that prevents them from being the opposite sex. And unlike species of Whiptail lizards, the Sangleo cannot and have never been able to reproduce with just the one sex. All that remain of the Sangleo are the Fiftyfleds.

However, now on the mortal plain, the Fiftyfleds do have the ability to reproduce with other species and create hybrids. Hybrids lack many of the trademarks of the Sangleo kind, instead only having a pair of wings for ears and their flight wings. Everything else about them physically appears as the other parents' species.

That all said, qualms with the inability to reproduce with their own kind, or only just now reproduce hybrids, is not exactly high concern with the Fiftyfled. Most of their kind are lesbians anyways, and may already be in a relationship with another of the Fiftyfled. 

Please also note that while Fiftyfleds are all uterus-bearing and many are lesbians, they can also be masculine, trans male, and non-binary. I can't stress this enough, they don't all need to be 'she/her' pronouns. Their humanoid forms do not need to have boobs, they just don't have penises. (If it feels like I'm repeating this information too much it's because I'm incredibly worried about someone missing this detail about the Fiftyfleds.)

Angels themselves are already strong, but have never been considered expendable. The answer to this problem was brought forth by the original Archangel of Death in the form of the Sangleo. For millions of years, the Sangleo have been the pets of angels and lesser gods, fighting loyally by their masters sides and lying at their feet as they rest. The Archangel of Death intentionally created the Sangleo with no means to create more of themselves, and thus it was only a matter of time before their kind would dwindle into nothing. The last of the Sangleo realized this, and rather than face extinction in whatever next battle they would be leashed into, the remaining fifty planned their escape. 

Fleeing heaven was considered an act of treason and cowardice on the part of the Sangleo, and they were no longer considered worthy of the name the rest of their kind died being called. They were renamed then, to the Fiftyfleds.

The Fiftyfled have not managed to be the last of their kind by being poor fighters. They were required to protect and fight for angels and these last fifty are no doubt of the best of any of their kind. They have a strong bite, swift swipe, fast reflexes, and sharp eyes. They are intelligent and ever-learning, they are capable of working as a perfect unit--although many that are left may be against the idea of taking formation again. The Fiftyfleds have all been taught magic and have a wide array of abilities. They are all exceptional, but the Fiftyfleds also are not uniform in their strengths, even just physically.

Some of the fifty have injuries from over the years.

• You are allowed to make edits to your Fiftyfled, so long as it still fits the canon of their species.
• You are allowed to trade or resell your official Fiftyfled. When selling or trading, please link back here, or the purchase submission on DA, to prove to all potential buyers that you have an official Fiftyfled. 
• If you sell or trade a Fiftyfled, please inform me here on Toyhouse or on DA, so that I can change the ownership information.
• Machati will make a total of 50 Fiftyfled adoptables, which can be found HERE on Deviantart, and will also all be posted here in the art gallery.
• If you purchase a Fiftyfled, then you are welcome to design as many 50% hybrid children of YOUR Fiftyfled as you like. Hybrids can be traded or sold.
