Lore (may be updated as story progresses): Dappleclaw was a very fair ruler whose biggest belief is to try to keep the peace, no matter the cost. When Cranesight and Canarylight get into a fight during a gathering, Dappleclaw tries his best to intervene. This results in Cranesight mistakenly attacking and striking Dappleclaw at his neck. Dappleclaw falls out of the Leader Tree and dies on impact when he falls to the ground. His death ignites his deputy, Lilystorm, to avenge his death by declaring war.
