" CHILDHOOD TRAUMA "
As a child, Fura went through the intense trauma of watching her two younger brothers die in a graphic accident. Rather than buckle down or face emotional torment, her brain compartmentalized the instance. Therapy never proved effective as there was nothing there to treat. She grew up a normal child despite her newly-broken parents and dreary atmosphere, and eventually showed an interest in forensic science.
" MENTAL SPIRAL "
Fura's mental spiral went practically undetected. As she worked in her field, her health slowly deteriorated. This however, had no major effects on her social behavior, so nobody realized the turmoil beneath. Body after body she was faced with subtle echoes of her trauma that even she couldn't be aware of. Over time she began experiencing bouts of mania, but a lack of a depressive counterpart meant she could never quite get a diagnosis— or medication. One thing led to another, and odd mood swings gave way to sadism; Fura began having positive reactions to violence and the corpses she was working with. But for unknown reasons, there was never a question raised about her wellness.
