Coming from an disreputable family, those that know anything about Aislynn's history have quite a lot of kindling to stoke the fires of her judgement. She joined the Church of the Holy Orders as a young girl in an attempt to atone for her family's sins and find some place for herself in a hostile world. Even though Aislynn managed to gain a dutiful reputation through her service, her accomplishments and abilities have been continually second-guessed by her superiors her entire life. Instead of being justifiably pissed off about this, Aislynn simply took it as further proof that she needed to be more mature, more reliable, and more put together than everyone else. These absurd standards have lead to a very serious girl who feels personally responsible for every little mistake or misstep during her assignments, and while her perfectionism has often lead to her noticing things overlooked by others, it also keeps her from being able to act quickly and decisively in times of crisis. As a newly appointed leader of a guild, this has posed a number of problems... and it's one of the many things that concerns her as she tries to go forward with her first real assignment.

Aislynn takes the safety of the adventurers she's gathered very seriously. Not only does any death or injury represent a negative blemish on her - which is infinitely magnified due to her already precarious position - she also believes strongly in the responsibilities that a leader has to their subordinates. To her, the people aiding her in raising the guild's Protocol - the fragment of the machine god whose care she's been charged with by the Church - aren't just companions... they're her treasured allies. She'd gladly sacrifice her own comfort for their happiness, and it's not unusual for her to poke her nose into her guild members private affairs in the interests of being helpful. Though she comes across initially as stern, Aislynn really is a warm-hearted girl, with a plethora of secret worries and insecurities regarding her position as leader.

At her heart, Aislynn is truly desperate to succeed in her goal. The rest of her life is riding on her impressing her superiors, which occasionally puts her in some extremely complicated situations, especially when circumstances arise that have the potential to pit the Church against her precious friends.

Oh, by the way - she's also a werewolf.
