One of the more eccentric GC kids, he gained his nickname via a combination of Andy spelling it wrong on his door sticker, and from his love of riddles and puzzles.
Thamir has an odd ability, he's able to smell coins, and he uses this to find stashes of them. This eventually leads him to a job in hunting down treasures and riches across the world. If he finds anything of importance in paleontology, he alerts the right people... but he usually takes a cut.
He has a pet hairy-tailed mole who helps him dig as a teenager. His name is Benji.
He knows both Arabic and English, though his english starts a little shaky.

Born in Egypt, moved to the states when he was ten, immediately dropped on the GC by his parents.
His parents are: Najma (mother) and Saif (father) Changed names are Nina and Sam.
They claimed they’d write and that, when they could support him, they’d come back. They never did.
They struck it rich, had a daughter, changed their names and everything. Luke and Thamir tracked them down when Thamir was an adult with the help of the Diodatos, his sister was only a teenager but took his side.
His sister’s name is Celeste, born in ‘57
They sued, their parents went to jail, and Thamir took his sister in, splitting the money between them evenly.
