Mackerelhip is a very small (6in), light (9lbs), long-furred molly with one orange eye. Her fur is a diluted, ticked torbie pattern and 30-40% white. She has curly fur, a short and fluffy tail, and scars. Her right eye is missing. She is senior warrior around 60-70 moons.

Mackerel is, to put it bluntly, a bitter cat. She despises cross-clan cats seeing them as the ultimate betrayal towards a clan (despite, unknowingly, being the result of such a relationship). She also cannot stand "cowardly" cats, and has been known to pick fights with those she views as "lesser".

Born alongside Petalkit and Featherkit to Jasminestar and Larkfoot, her mother had begged her close friend to act as the kits' father. Joyfully, Fireshine agreed, and the kits have never been told the truth.

As a young warrior, Mackerelhip got into a fight with a young vixen, leading to her eye being lost.
