Yuritzi Izabella TecĂșm-Leiva
Age: 26
Pronouns: (She/Her)

Wellspring Magic:

The Fan
Featherlight: Reduces weight and thus also strain on horse and rider during movement. It could also be used on other targets in a pinch to soften a fall.

Guiding Breeze: Wind currents can aid in redirecting a target or multiple targets. Especially useful when teaching beginners to give gentle redirection or can even help in distraction to prevent a horse from panicking during a performance. Sometimes a lil puff of dust adds some flair.

Echoing Winds: Carries her voice clearly across distances without shouting, but can also be used to raise her volume if needed.

Personality:

Spirited  Reckless
Independent  Stubborn
Responsible  Competitive

Appearance:

Small in stature she barely stands at 5’02”. She has a medium brown complexion with more golden undertones and also has beauty marks scattered across her face and frame. Her eyes are quite large and unique in color, they seem to always glisten in the gradient pink and green hues they hold. Her long curly hair is always neatly arranged into a bun and has a vivid gradient of pink at the crown to purple. Flowers normally adorn her in a crown almost, very rarely does she not wear flowers in her hair.

Biography:

Yuritzi is the middle child, but a majority of the time she feels as though she is the eldest of the three. Her brother seemed to breeze through life with ease, adored by outsiders, frustratingly absent when it mattered. Even when he failed to meet expectations, the consequences never seemed to stick to him the way they did to others.

Just like her brother before her, she was born into a long family line of vaqueros and escaramuzas. She grew up surrounded by movement and music. Riders practicing, skirts sweeping in practiced arcs, the sharp whistles and calls that guided horses. Her mother likes to tease that  Yuritzi has more sense atop a horse than she does on the ground. And perhaps there was truth in that. On horseback, everything made sense for her. On the ground things were less certain. People aren’t reliable like her beloved horses.

While her brother drifted further from the responsibilities expected of him, Yuritzi grew deeper into hers. Not out of obligation alone, but because she believed in what they had built and adored their traditions. They should be shared for all to see. At the least she still had many other family members to help her in their ranch. With the little free time she gives herself, you’ll find her free riding with her companion. Maybe you can entice her to a race.
