Buzzardsong

Buzzardsong is a red and white mackerel tabby with one orange eye and one colorless eye. His face is a whorl of white and red patterning with white eyebrow spots and red tabby stripes. His underbelly is white, and while most of his tabby stripes are red, he does have a few white stripes on his legs. Buzzardsong has dark red toes.

Buzzardsong has a shortened half-tail as well as numerous other scars and shredded ears. His fur is patchy and unkempt. He is often described as looking as though he was hit by a monster and walked away only moments later.

Buzzardsong is a rather off-putting and deranged medicine cat. He makes outsiders nervous, and even those within his own clan seem put off by his unbalanced comments. Many question why Currentstar allows him to continue as medicine cat, but the leader seems content to keep him. He is known for threatening violent acts against cats of any age, though it's often with an inquisitive tone and curious gleam in his eye than with any type of malice.

Buzzardsong also has a blatant disregard for any semblance of the medicine cat code or Starclan itself. He doesn't appear to ever receive omens from their ancestors, instead dishing out prophecies and warnings from his own crazed mind. He also shows a strong affection for Vinereach and treats them like a mate.

Buzzardsong is a very curious cat and can often be found conducting different experiments with various herbs and tools. While he's banned from performing anything illicit upon his clanmates, he can often be found playing with half-dead prey animals for his experiments. And when he's able to get his paws on a cat outside the clans, he truly gets to have his fun.

Buzzardkit was the only kit in his litter and doted upon as such. There was worry that his colorless eye would give him difficulties with sight, and he spent a lot of time in the medicine cat den being looked over. The worries proved baseless as his sight turned out to be just fine. He did learn a lot about herbs and medicine though, and was often asking questions about what happened if you did this, or if you mixed these herbs together, and was often disappointed with the phrase "I don't know". He was always fascinated when an injured cat came in to be looked after and didn't flinch even when cats died in his presence.

Upon reaching six moons, he was apprenticed to the medicine cat and given the name Buzzardpaw. There was some apprehension from the current medicine cat upon taking on the apprentice, as Buzzardpaw seemed less concerned with cats dying as he did with watching them die. But his mentor reasoned that a cat unafraid of death would never be overwhelmed by a lost clanmate and that Buzzardpaw would grow gentler and wiser with time and Starclan's aid. He was wrong.

Buzzardsong became sole medicine cat of Seaclan after his mentor caught whitecough. Poisonous berries were found mixed in to the older cat's herbs, though Buzzardsong adamantly claims that he never meant to kill the other cat. Most of his clan is still suspicious of him and avoid the medicine cat den whenever they can.

Buzzardsong also seems to have an unnatural way of skirting death about him. Despite numerous injuries and accidents, the cat only seems to walk away with a new scar without any lasting issues.
