Amber Notes is the curator of the Mueseum of History and Ecology and a substitute teacher at the Ponyville Schoolhouse. She's known for being bad-tempered and grumpy, making her unpopular amongst the foals she helps teach. She's constantly working herself to death and rarely gets breaks, during those rare times she can usually be found enjoying a cup of coffee at her old friend, Mocha Brews', coffee shop.

Used to dabble in magic studies when she was younger, making her a formittable unicorn as a result, but she's long dropped her studies in order to focus on her work. Although, she's had to revisit them recently after Luminous approached her seeking help with his own studies.
