Profile
Nirecho is my leopard gecko I rescued from a school friend. She was originally kept in a shoe sized plastic tub that was "put next to a radiator" as her only heat source. She was given to me freely, unnamed and believed to be male.
Whilst I can't be 100% sure of her Morph as her breeding is a mystery, she presents as a Super hypo carrot tail. Super hypos have less than 10 spots on their body (minus head and tail) and carrot tail have a minimum of 15% orange colouring on their tail. Normal leopard geckos are yellow based, with a purple tinged tail and covered with spots head to toe.
When I was trying to name her, my Dad (who isn't fond of animals) insisted I had to call her "Echo" to rhyme with Gecko but I felt it was too cliché. I wanted to name her Nira meaning plowed earth after her markings. We compromised and I named her Nirecho.
As she put on weight again her colours darkened and the marking lines faded.
