The House of Thorns is amongst one of the most feared clans within the Faewilds. Ruled with the cruelty of a long lineage of matriarchs, the House of Thorns has been under the reign of their queen for hundreds of years, simple referred to with the title of the Crimson Rose. But even a Rose is bound to wilt, with the next Rose undergoing a long selection process that would crown the next Matriarch within the clan. With bloodshed, espionage, and political strife, many within the clan had fought and killed for the chance to rule over the House of Thorns – at any cost. Even so much going so far to attempt to assassinate the Crimson Rose herself. All have failed in their endeavors.
Eventually, the Crimson Rose had finally picked her successor. And in a shocking twist, she had not decided to select any of the candidates that remained standing…
Instead, she announced that her servant would rule once she returned to the Wilds.
Thus, the Crimson Rose introduced the House of Thorns to Ilvayas Thorn, a young and sheepish young man who acted as the Rose’s assistant for decades. Raised by the Crimson Rose’s harem, she trained him to be her personal bodyguard, able to satisfy her entertainment needs and kill those who defied the orders of the Queen. Avoiding the confrontation all together, Ilvayas was a pacifist in nature, honest to a fault, and loyal to the matriarch. Even after the torment from the Rose’s wrath and the regents of the House of Thorns, Ilvayas remained loyal until the Crimson Rose. And in a sense of irony, she stated that Ilvayas would become the new Rose – especially when he was the only one she trusted.
The regents of the House of Thorns did not stand for such an act – and thus, they retaliated against the Crimson Rose. A brutal slaying occurred, the matriarch’s body on display for the House to see, and Ilvayas was put into his place. Once a servant and a tool to the House of Thorns, always a servant and a tool.
Ilvayas had lost the one person who he thought had cared about him, now turned into a plaything for the new Rose that assumed the crown, the Withered Rose. Brutalized and tortured, Ilvayas dreamed for the one day that he can close his eyes and sleep without the fear of the Withered Rose taking out her anger on him. An escape from the life he didn’t even choose for himself.
The wish seemed to be granted in a mysterious dream as the voices called out to him. And after falling asleep one night, Ilvayas woke up, feeling the sensation of an ocean breeze and the burning sensation of the sun on his skin. Covered in the very crimson blood he was so familiar with; he could only rise as the voices whispered to him over and over again.

Feat -- Eldritch Adept -- Beast Speech
You learn one Eldritch Invocation option of your choice from the warlock class. If the invocation has a prerequisite, you can choose that invocation only if you’re a warlock and only if you meet the prerequisite.
Whenever you gain a level, you can replace the invocation with another one from the warlock class.

Whenever you make an attack roll, an ability check, or a saving throw (or when an attack roll is made against you), you can spend one to roll an additional d20 and you choose which die to use. You can choose to spend luck points after you roll the die, but before the outcome is determined.
