Originating from the north-western Pacific Ocean, Teef was part of a sizeable school of barksharks, one of fifty two individuals. He was an uncommon brightly colored individual and often used his coloration as a way to blend in amongst coral when hunting, though outside of the reef it left him as a shining target for predators. Due to this he spent most of his time in the shallow reefs where he was safe and well fed, and focused on rearing young pups when they hatched in the reeds instead.

Teef found himself being swept away one day, Monsoon season never effected the school until they migrated further northwest for warmer water. Unfortunate for Teef, his first Monsoon took him from the safety of his shallows and dragged him in violent tides down the Australian coast, leaving him beached in Victoria with nowhere to go.

Being a species that primarily spends its time in the ocean Teef struggled to acclimate himself with the life of a land dweller, though through interactions with locals he quickly picked up the english language and societal structures. He still keeps himself as close to his home as possible, favoring the beach life and spending many hours weekly in the ocean. Sometimes he thinks back to his life in the School but has accepted that he may never see his family again.
