A warlock far from home, who has learned the hard way that dishonesty and betrayal is the only way to the top of society. His patron, Yig, promised him unthinkable power; Toborin would do anything to aquire that power, even if that means stabbing his closest friends in the back.
Unfortunately, karma caught up with Toborin eventually. After seven years of godly ownership, he gathered the self-control to free himself of his patronage, but was killed soon after by one of his closest friends. His legacy remains in the grief of those who loved him despite everything.

Summary
Toborin's birth was the result of a fleeting romance between a human commoner and a elven nobleman. In an effort to keep up appearances and return to his duties, his father left while Toborin was still young, leaving his mother to fend for herself. Constant ridicule from his mother and peers made Toborin resent them and desire some sort of escape to a better life. This opportunity came in the form of Yig, a handsome god who lured the naive half-elf into selling his soul in exchange for life-changing magical power - and change his life it did! The unexpected reputation that a warlock garners forced Toborin out of Aria for good.
Toborin's aimless journey was interrupted by Midas, a tiefling assassin from the crime-ridden city of Venura. The two quickly became close friends (with benefits), scamming business partners, and eventually roommates. However, Yig had bigger plans for Toborin, and threated to get rid of Midas himself if the warlock didn't find some way to sever their relationship. Toborin conceded and turned Midas in to the police before fleeing Venura out of fear for his reputation.

• Also scams people by telling them he's a natural-born sorcerer (he's not)

Relationships
Yig
The god of snakes and Toborin's patron. Toby sold his soul to Yig at 18 in exchange for the magic powers he now possesses. Yig sees himself in Toby and seems to have his best interests in mind, but will enforce the sacrifices he thinks are necessary to achieve godhood.
Midas
Toborin's first real friend (and roommate and more). Despite betraying him at Yig's command, Midas has begrudgingly forgiven Toborin and the two have begun to repair their friendship.
Slyra
Toborin's partner-in-crime after leaving Midas. Slyra is the only one who understands Yig's influence, having experienced it herself, making her and Toborin nearly inseperable. They have plans to marry solely for power over the city Slyra once ruled.
