Profile
Panzers are large, bulking mutations plated in police riot gear. Suspected to be mutated riot police who were patrolling and keeping order with people in the city. Due to this, Panzers are extremely deadly in absorbing a lot of damage due to the gear. Identified by their guttural grunting and deep yells, people avoid the large mutant as they do with Kaiju. Witnessed by many that Panzers do charge at survivors and turning over vehicles. Despite its bulking size, Panzers are quick in their charges being able to get up to 55km/hr as said by those who managed to survive Panzer attacks. Aggressive, volatile and quick to attack any non-infected survivor they see. Panzer are known as well to attack other infected and mutations alike to drain this high aggression. Believed a genetic mutation of muscle caused the rapid growth of their mutated arms, along with the mutation of keratin and the hardening of skin cause by the mutation fusing with the metal of the riot gear. Mutating a secondary lower jaw over their existing one that had most of the skin gnawed off from the teeth on the secondary pair.
The dangers of Panzer are high, able to crush and fracture bones of survivors causing internal hemorrhage in those unlucky. Immediate death is also a concern due to some having been crushed either by thrown vehicles or the Panzer itself. Infected and Harken have been noted to completely avoid the Panzer, being witnessed to even run away. Packs, however, appear to attack the Panzer which is unclear as to why. Panzers are complete bullet sponges, not being wise to waste your time and ammo against them. Bullets either bounce off and the ones that manage to get through aggravate the behemoth of a mutant. Panzers knowing to be quick it isn’t wise at all to piss off one of these mutants on purpose without the punch to back it up, seeming to take a team to bring one down.
What seems to do the most damage quickly to Panzers are explosives. Although explosives are not very common to find, people seek them out to deal with Panzers.
