Created under commission in a batch including Chevron and Strudel for an Intergalactic Telecommunications Technology Corporation with the intended specification of being a long-distance locations and resources scout. Unfortunately shortly after being put into the field Bang was found to have "irreparable personality flaws" that rendered him "incompatible" with his assigned role. As such, he was to be decommissioned - due to his "personality flaws" however this has been ... a task.
Bang is effectively "rogue". He doesn't see it that way, and doesn't care.
