She has a short temper, becahse of the strict guidelines her father set forth for her. If she wasn't perfect, she wasn't good enough for him, and developed stress and anger issues.
She has lots of respect for her father and wishes not to dissapoint him. He controlled her life from the day she was born until now.
Being a ruler put her on the spotlight, and she has to face the war her father and mother started 1000 years ago, a few days after she was born.

Their family has studied magic for over 5000 years! They have knowledge from all over Equestria. Some of their magic has been stored away after the war broke out, to protect the secrets of their weaponry.
Family RelationshipsObsidia never knew her mother, but knew ill rumours of her cheating on her husband. her father has banished all mention of her mother from Equestria for the disgrace she brought to the family.
Obsidia didn't have any friends growing up, but when her Uncle was there to comfort her, she was able to grow a closer bond with him. Her father found out about this and started to keep them apart for an unknown reason.
Equestrian Magic was mosty devoloped and evolved by the higher ups (Alicorn, strong unicorns, etc.)
Equestrian Magic revolves around emotions of the user. Strong emotions envoke stronger magic. Strong emotions: Rage, Revenge, Love and Envy
The way alicorns are formed are a disclosed secret and any metion is prohibited. Most theorise that strong unicorns are chosen for their bravery and skill, were magic from all tribes will be forced inside their bodies. Ponies think this is the true way of becoming powerful.
