Thorne doesn’t have much interest in others, but because Spike puts so much effort into it he tries to “smile” and at least not be mean. Thorne has difficulty conveying emotions unless they are in a severe state. Anger and laughter bordering on crazy laughs are the easiest for him. His attempts at a smile always fail, but he tries. He enjoys killing a little more than his brother does, but he is also more reckless and often comes home with injuries.
He warms up to people extremely slowly, and trusts only his brother for a long time. When his lady first comes into his life it’s more of an accident. He scared off some thugs because he likes being a badass, he didn’t even care about the girl. However he was once stuck somewhere injured, unable to get home, and happened to sit in the alley behind her cafe to try and catch his breath before attempting to make it the rest of the way home. He had no idea who she was when she approached him at first, and didn’t buy it when she said he “helped” her before. If he had, he had no recollection of it.
