Viperkit is a small, purplish-gray furred she-cat with viper-like zigzag pattern on her back. Her fur is short, with a few medium-long parts on her tail and chest. Her front paws, as well as her ears and tip of her tail are darker gray, while her chest, stomach, undertail and back paws have lighter fur. She has few lighter spots on her cheeks too. On Viperkits chest is a heart-shaped spot made of the same dark gray fur as her viper-pattern. Her eyes are amber-coloured, and usually have a piercing look on them. [Later: On the right side of her face are clawmarks that go over her eye, but don’t luckily affect her vision.]

"Confident", Loyal, Charismatic, Passionate - No matter what Viperkit is feeling inside, she would present herself as confident in whatever she is doing at the moment. Sometimes she even believes it herself for a moment, before she hears her fathers judging voice in the back of her mind. Almost every other cat besides her father, who she submits towards, would see her as confident. Her so called confidence makes her charismatic, especially when she gets older, and she would get lots of surface-level friendships with other cats because of that. Really rarely would she trust a cat enough to form a deeper bond, but whenever that happens, she would be loyal to death towards them. When someone gets to really know her, they would notice she is also really passionate about becoming a warrior and learning new skills, even if she usually seems like she isn't really passionate about anything.

In the nursery
Since the moment Viperkit first opened her eyes, her mother Aspenwhisper hasn't really showed any attention towards her. The queen would let her feed and sleep with her, but wouldnt be of any company to her. Especially when Viperkit needed emotional support or comfort, she would feel more like a burden towards her mother which eventually caused her to start hiding her emotions. Luckily, to keep her even somehow in touch with her feelings, another queen called Foxsnap offered a bit of comfort when Viperkit was feeling down and couldn't get any from her own mother. Foxsnap didn't act as a replacement for Viperkits mother, but if Viperkit wanted to join her kits Sunderkit and Wolfkit, she'd let her.
Viperkits father, Turtlesnap, didn't come to see her often in the nursery. When he did, he usually only stayed a short amount of time, though it wasn't like Viperkit minded. Sure, she would have loved if atleast her father would keep her company, but whenever Turtlesnap showed up, she'd be reminded of every flaw she could possibly have. He expected Viperkits skills to be on the same level as an apprentices, while Viperkit was barely allowed outside of the nursery. She would often get compared to other apprentices, or sometimes even young warriors, and if she would question her father or try to justify herself, she'd get shut down immediately and told that she would never become a warrior. She quickly learned to submit to Turtlesnap, and just listen quietly what he had to say.
Besides her father, Viperkit wouldnt show any kind of submission to anyone. Instead, she started acting overly confident, as if she was good at everything she did. She would never ask for help from anyone, or show any kind of weakness. Even if she hurt herself, she would just suck it up and act like it didn't bother her. This got Viperkit some compliments from other cats, how she was so independent at such a young age, even though she didn't feel like it. In the back of her mind, Viperkit always heard her fathers voice telling her how she's weak and stupid and overall not good enough. The only cat she sometimes let see her emotions was Foxsnap, but only sometimes, when she was feeling her lowest.

Impassive, judgemental, hard to please
Turtlesnap has always been very judgemental and likely to compare Viperkit to others. Because of her fathers harsh tongue, Viperkit has turned out to be secretive and stoic, keeping everything to herself unless she really trusts someone. Her fear of failure also comes from Turtlesnaps critical words, even though it shows as overconfidence. Viperkit still has a secret wish of someday getting her fathers approval, but that is something she hasn't told anyone.
Distant, reserved, quiet
Aspenwhisper was always distant towards Viperkit, no matter what she did. Even when Viperkit would come seeking comfort after hearing her fathers harsh words, Aspenwhisper wouldn't give her a lot of attention, if any. It almost seemed like the queen had no interest in her own kit, and found Viperkit to be more of a nuicance than someone deserving of love. Because of her mother, when Viperkit starts to trust someone, she becomes obsessive towards them and their attention.
