Moss

Moss had originally grown up in the Nest under the weight of the Master of the Valley. While trico pups didn't earn their armor until they were older, they still needed to be able to be controlled. As soon as the Master became aware that Moss' bent, misshapen horns made him unable to recieve orders, the creature ordered him to be thrown into the wild and left for dead.

Instead of perishing as a pup in the wild, Moss quickly adapted to life without being fed by the Master of the Valley and began to thrive. He learned how to camoflauge himself as a pup to keep predators or villagers from finding him, and he hunted deer to sustain him. Though he is considered quite small in comparison to the tricos in the Master of the Valley's army, his coat is healthier and he is overall more skilled at surviving.
