Name Dove

Pronouns Any (She/Her preferred alongside They/Them and It/Its)

Orientation Lesbian

Rank God

APPEARANCE

Like all gods, Dove is not, actually, a cat. In fact, she is an otter, who merely takes the form of a cat in order to be less scary to the cats she visits. Nevertheless, even as a cat, she is three times the size of an average cat (though she can change her size as well, and often does to not appear threatening).

Dove is typically shown as a black, white, and blue calico with brought blue eyes and white pupils. However, Dove has a total of five eyes; two pairs of two then one in the middle. This form comes with a pair of bright blue, furless wings. She has never shown anything more than having three eyes to mortals.

Personality

Dove is seemingly a very timid, kind god. She is considered to be incredibly merciful, but will refuse to save the life of a mortal if it seems as though it's meant to happen. She is very reliant on "right vs wrong"; even if something wrong has to happen for her version of 'right' to go her way.

History

Long before the existence of housecats, Boar and Dove are two lonesome gods who find solace in each other. Eventually, the two of them become mates and sire six children: Dahlia, Poppy, Juniper, Dietes, Cardinal, and Chestnut.

However, things take a turn for the worse. Boar advises a deeply troubled cat, Orca, to stand up for himself in the face of harassment. Orca takes this to mean violence. Orca is the first cat to kill another cat in cold-blood, thus triggering the very first Mortal War. Boar isolates herself during the war, eventually causing Dove and Boar to get into a bitter fight. The fight results in Boar's 100 year exile from Dove and their children (with their children's growth being stalled in bubble-like confinement). This leads to Boar's title becoming "God of War".

100 years pass. When Dove sees that Boar is still meddling in mortal affairs, she releases their children from their bubble-confinement. This results in custody of their children being split. Boar is given Poppy, Dahlia, and Cardinal as children. Meanwhile, Dove gets Chestnut, Juniper, and Dietes.

Because of Boar starting a civil war between Bog Rebellion and Pine Nation, Dove proceeds to give Dove Vison to Pine's healer, Greyflower. There, Dove advises them that the only way for the war to end is for Diggerstar's death. However, Dove's attempt at making peace does not last, as Boar proceeds to help ignite the War of Nations.

Because of the known dangers of having Dahlia- the god of Life- be on Boar's side, Dove instructs Juniper- god of death- to 'take care of it'. This results in Dahlia's death. This devastates Boar, only causing further strife between the two gods. During the final battle of the War of Nations, Dove saves the life of an innocent kitten named Hawkshadow, who then is granted Dove Vision as well.

Dove just continues to watch Boar's actions affect the mortals

Relationships

God of 'War'

Boar is Dove's spouse. The two had six children together. Because of Boar's initation of the First Mortal War, their relationship has been strained and tense. As of the current story, they are separated .

Pine Nation Healer

Greyflower is a Healer given Dove Vision by Dove. Greyflower uses this vision in order to know how to best serve his clan, even if it means allowing their leader to die. Greyflower does not talk to Dove often, as Dove is a quiet god.

Hawkshadow was given Dove Vision at a very young age. During the final battle of the War of Nations, Hawkshadow is deathly injured and saved by Dove and her children. Hawkshadow does not talk to Dove often, but Hawkshadow often calls out for her advice. Dove is almost a mother to Hawkshadow, though neither realize this connection.

God of 'the Wild'

Chestnut is the God of the Wild and is one of Dove and Boar's six children. When asked to chose between Dove and Boar, Chestnut chooses Dove. Chestnut's primary relationship with Dove is to make sure the mortals always have the proper amount of prey; even going so far as to punish other nations who do not act the way that Dove believes that they should.

God of 'Justice'

Dietes is one of Dove's six children. When asked to chose between helping Dove or Boar, Dietes chooses Dove. Dietes shares Dove's strict moral values, though often keeps far away from both god and mortal activities.

God of 'Death'

Juniper is one of Dove's six children. When asked to help either Dove or Boar, Juniper chooses Dove. Dove often uses Juniper for her own benefit, encouraging him when it's time for specific mortals to die. This includes the attack against his sibling, Dahlia- God of Life.
