Astrior

Princess of the Underworld, and adopted human daughter of Eigil.

    She was the first human Eigil ever met, when he was still (re)learning how the Undeworld operated.
    As the first soul he saw arrive, they quickly became good friends, with Astri telling him of the human realm, and Eigil entertaining her much like a court jester. Because of her, Eigil grew infatuated with humans and their culture, and swore to make all of their final moments be of joy rather than pain, so Astri would never again have to witness a fellow human in pain.
    In life, Astrior was the young princess of a decaying kingdom, mindlessly killed during a revolt, without knowing its cause as the corruption and tyranny of her neglectful parents. Eigil now treats her as his own daughter, doing everything he can to please her and make her proud, although he isn't quite aware how much he already inspires her by simply being a ruler so selflessly devoted to those submitted to him.
