"I have never stopped moving. My entire life, I keep moving. My body feels too contained and suffocated if I stay in one place for too long. So I stay for what I need, and then move on to find adventure elsewhere. My family had always been nomadic, so it’s no wonder where my mindset came from. And I will only stop moving when I am dead and in the ground. Just like they did. You have to bury them and leave them behind as you literally and figuratively move on with your life. My father grew fatally ill one summer, at the hottest time in August. His fever was too high and we couldn’t keep him cool enough to break it. He died on the first of September. A year later, my mother and younger brother, Fenian, were killed by a group of Ogre bandits. They wanted to take our gold. They took more than just that. I was a weakling then. I could do nothing to stop them from attacking my family. After I watched them slit the throats of those I loved most in the world, they stopped and looked at me. The look on their faces told me I had become the object of their desire. I began to run. The four monsters lumbered after me. I might have been captured had a fire not been lit at some encampment in distance. Their attention was diverted and the ogres immediately left like moths to light, stumbling away with our shiniest possessions. In that moment, I was nothing. As I trudged back to the tent, I was nothing. As I buried the bodies of Fenian and my mother, I was nothing. As I gathered the belongings the ogres hadn’t taken, I was nothing. As I sold nearly every last object, I was nothing. I have since hardened, but I am still nothing. I will only be something when I feel I have properly honored my family by killing every single ogre there is. So I will always be nothing. And that’s just fine.

"I am a hired-hand by trade. If I travel by a farm that needs a farmhand, I will work there until the end of the season. If there is construction in town and they need workers, I will take up a hammer. If a nobleman of the city I’m in needs an enemy to disappear, I will take care of them swiftly and silently. I follow the gold."

Character Epilogue

Faranni played no small part in the vanquishing of the demon lords. With the newfound peace in the underdark, the Emerald Enclave’s newest branch could thrive. Faranni continued to rise within the organization, since her and her pet mountain lion Heren formed a formidable team for the Enclave’s more difficult missions. Eventually, Faranni decided to learn more of her  elven customs and heritage. Through her connection with the Mitherian family, Faranni was able to receive the finest in elven education. Once learning the customs, Faranni discovered her talent for diplomacy. She would become the Enclave’s primary underdark ambassador to the surface elven kingdoms. Many victorious conflicts could be attributed to the assistance of powerful druids, and Faranni was even able to mediate a somewhat friendly meeting between high elves and drow. However, Faranni could never quite stay away from nature. She would train new recruits for the Enclave, and eagerly jumped at the chance to undertake long missions in the wilderness.
